People with diabetes behind medical devices.

Diabetes is not only an issue for people living with diabetes and their families, friends and health care providers. It also includes researchers engaged in finding a cure and the MedTech Industry working on providing helpful solutions to everyday challenges.

However, people with diabetes have over time played an important role with initiatives on all these levels. The Lyfebulb initiative co-founded by the Swedish researcher and MedTech professional, Dr. Karin Hehenberger is one of these.

Lyfebulb is a patient-centric organization based in New York.

Its mission is to improve the quality of life of those living with a chronic disease NOW. Therefore, one of the priorities of Lyfebulb is to help bringing innovative products and solutions focused on chronic diseases to market. The organization serves as a bridge between patients and industry.

Among the results are the Lyfebulb Innovation Award in cooperation with Novo Nordisk A/S and the new “Entrepreneur Circle”. Read more here on The Entrepreneur Circle.

Of course, the international network consists of entrepreneurs who have utilized their diagnosis as motivation to establish firms aimed at improving the quality of life of those living with a chronic illness, including the entrepreneurs themselves.

Indeed, the linkage between the people directly concerned and the Industry is important. In addition, mutual Inspiration and networking is also important, and Dukada is happy to participate in the Circle.
