DUKADA® Trio for the FlexPen® from Novo Nordisk
More than just a timer!
This version of the DUKADA Trio SmartCap provides more options to users of the Novo FlexPen.
4 useful features make the daily administration of insulin a little easier:
- Timer – keeps track of the time passed since your last injection and reduces the risk of a double dosage.
- Light on the needle and skin – makes it easier to inject insulin in the dark.
- Better light protection. The main part of the cap remains on the insulin pen during injections. The insulin container is therefore better protected from UV-light (for example in sunlight) if you inject insulin outdoor.
- FlexGrip – gives additional grip options. Helps you to take insulin if you have an unstable seating on the go or if your hands are unsteady.
DUKADA Trio is long-lasting and comes with a replaceable coin cell battery – normal battery lifetime around 1 year.
DUKADA Trio is compact and lightweight. It does not extend the length of the insulin pen and is easy to carry with you on the go.
FlexPen is a disposable Insulin Pen, which comes with the following Novo Nordisk insulins:

- Levemir®
- NovoLog®
- NovoLog Mix 70/30®
- Protaphane HM(ge)®
- Novomix 30®
This version of DUKADA Trio also fits the FlexPens that come with Victoza®, which is a medicine from Novo Nordisk against diabetes type 2.
