On July 24, 2015, DUKADA Trio became available in Denmark through two distributors of diabetes equipment, Reamed A/S and Mediq A/S.
The launch marked an important milestone for DUKADA, introducing a Smart Cap designed to give users of insulin pens greater flexibility in everyday life.
DUKADA Trio combined a timer, showing the time since the last injection, with a Needle Light to support injections in dim or dark surroundings. Its unique Flex Grip provided additional stability and control, particularly when injecting on the go, for example as a passenger in a car or on a plane.
These features were especially useful when travelling, during holidays or in other situations where daily routines might change.
Although DUKADA Trio is no longer available for individual purchase, the technology remains part of our Smart Cap platform, which can be adapted to different injection pens in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies and pen manufacturers.
